I use a variety of techniques to create a textured surface -
incising, stamping & impressing combined with multi-layer glazing
Some pieces are worked onto a single slab whilst others are cut and reassembled , before being permanently fixed to board or frame.The pieces are then grouted.
This technique probably stems from time spent making stained glass. It seems natural to create images that are dissected in some way.

I use a variety of glazes, temperatures ranging from 1020 degrees to 1200 degrees. Some pieces are suitable for outside. Pieces can
be ordered ‘frameless’ or framed in a simple wooden frame.
