Ceramic Panels by Sarah McCormack
I use a variety of techniques,
incising, stamping & impressing to create a textured surface combined with multilayer glazing, using some crystalline ready made glazes as well as my own glazes.

Some pieces are worked onto a single slab whilst others are cut and reassembled , before being permanently fixed to board or frame. The pieces are then grouted.

This technique probably stems from the years making stained glass It seems natural to create images that are dissected in some way.

I use a variety of glazes, temperatures ranging from 1020 degrees to 1200 degrees. Some pieces are suitable for outside. Pieces can
be ordered ‘frameless’ or framed in a simole wooden frame.
